At 29 years of age, this young woman is a real performer, working at the intersection of jazz, improvised and contemporary music, often in the context of multidisciplinary projects. Her preferred domain? The piano, whose paradoxes and outer sonic limits she's been exploring for several years. Her weapons? A rare talent for summoning forth an astonishing range of unheard of sounds from the innards of the grand piano with the help of several handmade devices – an original and highly personal approach to the instrument as a free, poetic musical universe. Eve Risser also is a talented performer on the flute, not to mention other objects put to the service of music making, including toys, pocket theremin, Barbie guitar and turntable...
