While asserting his own distinctive personality, Rémi Dumoulin, 33 years old, has a real flair for the collective, characterised by a great ability to interact with and build bridges between his various sparring partners. To his clarinets and saxophones he brings a sumptuous palette of colours, colours he uses both in his own compositions and in his work with established jazz outfits and symphony orchestras, not forgetting smaller ensembles, in which his contributions are precise, elegant and inspired.
