This 27-year-old trumpeter, hailing from a family of dedicated musicians, began his trumpet studies at the Conservatoire in Menton. Following in his brother Stéphane's footsteps, he was soon attracted by jazz, and, on the advice of Tony Russo, enrolled at the Ecole de Jazz de Michel Barrot (Salon de Provence) where he perfected his craft with Freddie Hovsépian. Settling in Paris, his self-assurance, ability and outstanding aptitude as section leader soon attracted the attention of the leading Parisian orchestras, and he currently plays as first trumpet with Michel Legrand, Gérard Badini, L'Oreille Cassée and the Paris Jazz Big Band.
