Jean Gobinet
Trumpet, flugelhorn

After studies in trumpet, arrangement and composition in France and the USA, Jean worked as trumpeter and arranger (with, amongst others, Quincy Jones, Michel Legrand, Michel Portal, Captain Mercier, Jean-Jacques Milteau and Didier Lockwood...), enriching his professional career by combining experience and versatility. He's also Professor of Arrangement and Jazz History at the CNR de Metz, and teaches Arrangement at ARPEJ (Paris) as well as Harmony and Trumpet at the CMDL (school founded by Didier Lockwood).
