If Herbert is often considered as a "sound colourist", there are no negative connotations involved, as he's a well-known and talented draughtsman as well as a musician. As a member of the Vienna Art Orchestra, he has also developed several solo projects and collaborations with Joe Koinzer, Mathias Rüegg, Hans Koller, Frank Kuruc… He has released numerous albums and performs regularly in solo, duo and with his own quartet. As a graphic artist he has also designed many album covers.
