Initially self-taught, Bruno started studies comparatively late, notably with David Liebman. As well as his teaching activities, he's taken part in numerous jazz and improv-related projects (with David Liebman, Chico Freeman, Archie Shepp, Steve Lacy, Jean-Marc Padovani Minotaure Jazz Orchestra and Échappée Belle...), and has also been active in the world of dance (Shiro Daimon, Michèle Rust...), theatre (Enzo Cormann, Bernard Giraudeau...) and chanson (Carmen Linares, Mano Solo, Monica Passos...).
