Led Zeppelin
As one of the mythic groups of the 1970s, famous for their collective
improvisations and complex compositions, Led Zeppelin were one of the
greatest and most influential groups in the history of rock, and the
modernity of their music remains unequalled.
The interplay between Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, John Bonham and Robert
Plant was almost fusional, and the idea of the concert as "work
in progress" remains a Led Zeppelin hallmark. The stage was a place
of experimentation for these four exceptional creative artists, as their
songs evolved into veritable paintings marked by long stretches of improvisation,
creative energy and poetry. A whole generation in musical and social
upheaval identified with them.
