Faced with today’s social and environmental challenges, the Orchestre National de Jazz is taking action in a number of areas to help make the cultural sector more respectful and inclusive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gender equality<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Parity <\/strong>as an objective in the number of members on stage, to help change the way orchestral musicians are portrayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Training<\/strong> the permanent team in<\/strong> the<\/strong> prevention<\/strong> of sexist<\/strong> and<\/strong> sexual<\/strong> violence<\/strong>, and proposing training to intermittent teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Establishment of a prevention<\/strong> protocol<\/strong> and appointment of two in-house referents<\/strong>, members of the national network of VSS referents in culture created by La<\/a><\/strong> Petite<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Mediation<\/strong> around two projects:
Les<\/strong> \u201cElles<\/strong>\u201d du<\/strong> Jazz<\/strong>
Exhibition<\/strong> \u201cExceptionn<\/strong>–elles<\/strong> ?,<\/strong> la<\/strong> place<\/strong> des<\/strong> femmes<\/strong> dans<\/strong> le<\/strong> jazz<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 The ONJ is a member of the French association HF<\/a><\/strong> \u00cele<\/strong>–de<\/strong>–France<\/strong>, equality between men and women in the arts and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ecoresponsibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Since 2020, the ONJ has been a member of ARVIVA<\/a><\/strong>, a group of performing arts professionals committed to the ecological transition of the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Charter<\/strong> for<\/strong> an<\/strong> eco-responsible<\/strong> commitment<\/strong> – a guide to good environmental practices appended to all contracts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Work in progress to estimate<\/strong> the<\/strong> carbon<\/strong> footprint<\/strong> of the ONJ’s activities using the SEEDS<\/a><\/strong> tool developed by ARVIVA, and to implement a strategy to reduce environmental impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
